Getting Involved in the Community

We have Team Members acting as teachers, advisors, mentors, and inspiration for various educational organizations. We work with a lot of different institutions, including the Edge Academies, the Governor’s School, CSU Industry Advisory Board, ITT Tech, Trident Tech, ITology, STEM Premier. When we’re not working with educators, we’re throwing or helping coding events, like Hackathon, CodeCamp, WordCamp, BarCamp, Charleston Digital Corridor events, and other general tech conferences.

“SPARC’s civic duty is to grow our community. We want to grow our own talent within so that we can build the economy and job sectors here and find the right balance between that and attracting people from outside of the state. Education is paramount to growth in the technology sector anywhere, including Charleston’s Silicon Harbor.” – Bob Williams, SPARC CTO
